PATTI BROWN, ARTIST
Growing up on Lake Michigan, spending twenty-five years on Puget Sound, and now living in San Diego by the Pacific Ocean, I've been consistently inspired by water and natural landscapes.
As a self-taught artist, I channel these experiences into my work, making a deliberate transition from a twenty-year career in digital marketing and operations to fully embrace my artistic calling.
I primarily use encaustic and acrylic. Encaustic allows for layered wax, creating depth and revealing subtle textures. The molten wax guides my process, building a visual narrative. Acrylic enables me to explore a wider range of colors and emotions.
My goal is to create art that resonates with viewers on a personal level. Each mark and layer invites a silent connection, evoking feelings from calm to energy.
I hope my art encourages introspection, provides a sense of peace, and highlights the subtle beauty around us.
